Second meeting of Central Advisory Committee

The second CAC meeting was held on 22nd October, 2010 under the chairmanship of CEO, FSSAI. There were 33 participants, of which, 05 were from Central Ministries, 22 from States/ UTs and 06 were non- government members. The agenda included presentations on the key initiatives of FSSAI, the Result Framework Document 2010-11 of FSSAI, enforcement structure in the States/ UTs for implementation of the Act, IT enabled Licensing System, training policy and capacity building programme, upgradation and strengthening of food laboratories and awareness generation programme and communication strategy of FSSAI. Each presentation was followed by fruitful discussions in which all the Members actively participated and gave their valuable suggestions and recommendations.
