latest risk assessment techniques etc. The first lecture in this series was organized
on 4/2/2011 Ghaziabad where Assistant Director General (ADG) & officiating Director,
FRSL assisted by other experts made a presentation on various techniques adopted
for food testing, latest development as well as simple method for testing, common
adulterants in food items of daily consumption. Demonstration was given of hightech
equipment like GLC (Gas Liquid Chromatography), AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrometer)
HPTLC (High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography) etc.
Utilizing this opportunity, discussion also held regarding plans for upgradation
of FRSL Ghaziabad to an international standard laboratory which can also serve as
National Standard setting Laboratory under the FSSAI.
