GRULAC (Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries in the United Nations)

A meeting of delegation of over 15 Latin American Countries comprising Ambassadors and senior personnel’s was held in FSSAI under the Chairmanship of Chairperson, FSSAI on 4th June 2018. The discussions revolved around collaboration in the areas of food safety and trade.

Poland

A delegation from Poland led by HE Mr. Jacek Bogucki, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Poland met with Chairperson, FSSAI on 12th March 2018. The discussions focussed on issues related to food safety and trade.

USDA (US Department of Agriculture)

A delegation from US led by Mr. Ted Mckinney, Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, USDA (US Department of Agriculture) met with Chairperson, FSSAI on 21st Feb., 2018. The issues related to international standards, food safety were discussed. Both sides expressed their resolve to strengthen engagement on activities of mutual interest.

Study Visits

Singapore

9 member delegation comprising officials from FSSAI and State Food Safety Commissioners visited Singapore on a study visit during 7-11 May 2018. The visit was organized by GFSP in collaboration with AVA (Agri-food and Veterinary Authority) Singapore & Enterprise Singapore.

The visit was to comprehend the Food Safety Regulatory system, public – private collaboration in food safety

Delegates at field visit- Singapore

United Kingdom

A delegation from FSSAI/India including Food Safety Commissioner from State visited United Kingdom during February 2018 for a 5 day workshop organized by Food Standards Agency (FSA), UK to comprehend the food control system of UK.
